In-Depth Review: Rare Beauty Limited Edition Mini Blush & Luminize Trio Pin It

In-Depth Review: Limited Edition Mini Blush & Luminize Trio – Beloved, Virtue, Enliven

When it comes to makeup, I’m someone who appreciates both performance and formulation. I look for products that not only look good on the skin but are also made with ingredients that I can feel good about using daily. I recently picked up the Limited Edition Mini Blush & Luminize Trio in the shades Beloved, Virtue, and Enliven, and after using it consistently for a few weeks, I can honestly say it’s a solid addition to my beauty collection — with a few caveats.

Packaging and Presentation

First, let’s talk about the packaging. As the name suggests, this is a mini trio, and it comes in a sleek, compact box that feels both elegant and practical. The “new in box” aspect gave me confidence in the product’s freshness, and it arrived in pristine condition. The compact size is perfect for travel, your everyday makeup bag, or even keeping at your desk for quick touch-ups. It’s lightweight but not flimsy, and the secure closure ensures there are no messy spills.

The shades are arranged side-by-side in a way that’s visually pleasing and convenient for quick use. Each pan is small but not so tiny that it’s difficult to use a blush brush or finger for application. There’s no included mirror, but given the compact size, that’s not a dealbreaker for me.

Shade Breakdown: Beloved, Virtue, Enliven

Each shade in the trio serves a distinct purpose and complements a wide range of skin tones.

  • Beloved is a soft, warm blush with a rosy undertone that adds a healthy flush to the cheeks. It’s buildable, which is a major plus — you can go for a barely-there hint of color or layer it for more intensity.

  • Virtue leans more toward a neutral, slightly peachy highlighter. It gives a subtle glow that catches the light beautifully without looking glittery or overdone.

  • Enliven is the boldest of the three — a vibrant coral-pink shade that brings energy and life to your makeup look. It’s the kind of color that instantly brightens the face and would look especially stunning in the spring and summer months.

The texture across all three shades is smooth and blendable. They don’t feel chalky or overly powdery, which can often be a problem with mini-sized palettes. Whether applied with a brush or fingertips, they go on evenly and blend into the skin beautifully.

Ingredients and Performance

One of the most impressive things about this trio is the quality of the ingredients. The product is formulated with skin-friendly, clean ingredients that are gentle and suitable for sensitive skin. I didn’t experience any irritation or breakouts, which is always a concern when trying new cheek products. It’s also free from common irritants like synthetic fragrance, parabens, and talc — something that’s becoming more important to a lot of makeup users, myself included.

On the skin, the blushes and luminizer wear well throughout the day. I was pleasantly surprised by how long they lasted without fading, especially considering how lightweight the formula feels. After about 6–8 hours of wear (without setting spray), I still had a noticeable flush and a soft glow, which is great for a clean beauty formula.

Application Experience

Using this product is a joy — it’s quick, effective, and foolproof. The color payoff is moderate, which I appreciate because it gives you control. It’s hard to overdo it, but you can easily build up the color to your desired intensity. This makes it a good option for both beginners and seasoned makeup lovers alike.

For best results, I found that using a medium-sized fluffy brush gave me the softest application, especially for the blush shades. For the luminizer, using my finger or a small fan brush worked best to get a targeted highlight on the tops of my cheekbones, nose, and cupid’s bow.

Price Point

Now for the one minor downside — the price. This trio is a little on the expensive side, especially considering the size. While it’s marketed as a “mini,” the cost feels closer to what you might expect for a full-sized product. That said, if you’re someone who values quality ingredients, ethical formulation, and sleek design, the price starts to feel more justified.

It’s also worth noting that you get three versatile shades in one product, which adds some value. If purchased separately in larger sizes, you’d likely end up spending significantly more. So while the sticker shock is real at first, the overall value proposition is still there.

Final Thoughts

All in all, the Limited Edition Mini Blush & Luminize Trio – Beloved, Virtue, Enliven is a well-rounded, thoughtfully formulated product that performs beautifully on the skin. The shades are versatile, the finish is natural and flattering, and the clean ingredients are a major plus. It’s the kind of product that elevates your makeup routine without requiring a lot of time or effort.

If you’re looking for a blush and luminizer set that’s compact, travel-friendly, and made with care, this trio is definitely worth trying. It’s a little bit of a splurge, yes, but it feels like a treat — and sometimes that’s exactly what you want in a beauty product.

Rating: 4.5/5
(A small deduction for price, but otherwise excellent.)
